Looking for home (2004)

This is the first of my albums made using my “instant songwriting” approach. I basically sat myself in front of my tape-recorder and a book of old lyrics, and wrote these songs in the space of a few hours. I recorded a lot of material, probably over two sittings, including some less song-oriented material that I eventually made into another album.

Looking for home
No love
Like two in time
There’s no sun
Limboland 2
Laughter in the street
Feminism
The splinter inside
I wish I could say exactly how I felt
Nearly broken
There are so many people
Full stop
Conveyor belt
Laughter 2
The sun never shines on me Feeling ill in the back garden
